1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BookMyCarService ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

BookMyCarService is an online marketplace platform that connects car owners in Ireland with registered garages for the purpose of obtaining service quotes and booking automotive services. We act as an intermediary and are not responsible for the actual service work performed by garages.

3. User Accounts

3.1 For Customers

Customers can submit quote requests without creating an account. By submitting a quote request, you agree to receive communications from garages and BookMyCarService regarding your request.

3.2 For Garages

Garages must register and create an account to use the Platform. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete business information
• Maintain valid insurance and certifications
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Quote Requests and Responses

4.1 Customer Obligations

• Provide accurate vehicle and contact information
• Respond to garage communications in a timely manner
• Honor accepted quotes and confirmed bookings

4.2 Garage Obligations

• Provide accurate, itemized quotes with clear pricing
• Honor quoted prices for the specified work
• Obtain customer approval before performing any additional work
• Maintain professional standards and quality of service

5. Pricing and Payments

5.1 Quote Validity

All quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Quotes must include a breakdown of parts, labor, and VAT.

5.2 Payment Terms

Payment for services is made directly between the customer and the garage. BookMyCarService is not involved in payment processing for the MVP phase. Garages agree to pay BookMyCarService a platform fee for each completed booking as per the separate commercial agreement.

5.3 No Surprise Pricing

Garages must not charge customers more than the quoted price without prior written approval for additional work. Any additional work must be clearly documented and agreed upon before proceeding.

6. Booking and Cancellation

6.1 Booking Confirmation

When a customer accepts a quote, a booking is created. Both parties will receive a confirmation email with the agreed details.

6.2 Cancellation Policy

• Customers may cancel bookings by contacting the garage directly
• Garages should provide reasonable notice if they need to reschedule
• Cancellation fees, if any, are at the garage's discretion

7. Platform Rules

7.1 Prohibited Activities

Users must not:

• Provide false or misleading information
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to circumvent the Platform to avoid fees
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Scrape or collect data from the Platform without permission
• Interfere with the Platform's operation or security

7.2 Garage Verification

All garages must provide proof of public liability insurance and relevant certifications. BookMyCarService reserves the right to verify credentials and reject or remove garages that do not meet our standards.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, content, and functionality, is owned by BookMyCarService and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Garages will provide satisfactory services
• Quotes will be accurate or competitive
• Any defects will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

BookMyCarService is a booking marketplace only. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of services provided by garages
• The accuracy of quotes or vehicle information
• Disputes between customers and garages
• Any damage to vehicles during service
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed €100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold BookMyCarService harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Between Users

Disputes between customers and garages should be resolved directly between the parties. We may provide contact information but are not obligated to mediate disputes.

12.2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
